From Victoria Falls to vast wildernesses including the iconic Hwange National Park, Lake Kariba with its unrivalled Matusadona scenery and the world heritage sites of Matobo Hills and Mana Pools. Zimbabwe is the ideal destination for any discerning traveller. The country is enriched in history, with ancient city ruins and fascinating rock art, while it is also a place of incredible wildlife and natural beauty. Arguably the most famous attraction in Zimbabwe is the world heritage site that is Victoria Falls; in full flood, it forms the largest sheet of falling water in the world and has been declared a world heritage site.
The Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, are in the far northwest of Zimbabwe on the border with Zambia, halfway along the length of the Zambezi River. The world’s largest falling curtain of water, they are not to be missed.
The Zambezi National Park, where a wide variety of outstanding African wildlife can be seen, including all members of the Big Five plus eland, giraffe, kudu, sable, waterbuck, and impala.
Zimbabwe’s largest National Park and premier safari destination, Hwange is home to the big five including Rhino with sightings of large herds of elephant and buffalo very common. Seeing leopard and wild dogs is not unlikely at this beautiful Zimbabwe safari destination.
World heritage site Mana Pools National Park, is one of Africa’s most magical wilderness areas where the Zambezi River gives life to an amazing diversity of flora and fauna, all of which rely on one another to maintain this ‘garden of eden.’
Lake Kariba, encompassing Matusadona National Park, is a vast body of water with incredible surrounding wilderness and unique landscapes. It has become a popular holiday destination for locals and foreigners alike. Cruising Lake Kariba on a houseboat is one of Zimbabwe’s top experiences.
Zimbabwe's crowd-free south is home to the Big 5 and rugged Gonarezhou is sure to impress alongside the exclusive experience of Malilangwe, a private reserve bordering the park. Apart from the stunning scenery, visitors can expect to see rhino, elephant and buffalo plus big cats and wild dogs.

Mike was a pleasure to deal with, easy to work with and the organisation was exceptional We need 6 adults organised in 5 different locations from Cape Town east to Amakhala and west again within a 12 day road trip Mike's understanding of the country and the what we should see while there led us to sume truly amazing parts of the garden route including Hermanus, Plettenberg Bay and Simbavati Fynbos on Sea Couldn't and wouldn't change anything about a trip of a lifetime for my wife's 50thPosted on Google John&Linda MottramTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Enjoyed a fantastic two week self driving tour of Eswatini (former Swaziland) and Kwa Zulu Natal, in February 2026, organised by Cape Tours. This was my third trip through Cape Tours in South Africa and it was similarly well organised with excellent hospitality facilities and organisation. South Africa can be a challenging environment and the thoroughness and knowledge of the locality by the tour operator is essential for a successful trip. The recommended Hotels did not disappoint, similarly the road journeys between different locations were easily negotiated even where some of the roads were not 'sealed'. Our purpose was to view historical sites, but wildlife, sea life, environmental and cultural experiences are also well provided. At this time of Middle East disruption to travel and European congestion and expense, South Africa and other African locations at reasonable cost, is a very affordable alternative. Cape Tours would always be my own choice.Posted on Google Sue StanhopeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely amazing company. We have booked with Cape Tours on many occasions and have had excellent service. They have suggested very good places to stay which we would not find if trying to do this ourselves. Flights and cars arranged too. If any information required they are on hand to help. Thank you very much for your help with our holidays.Posted on Google Keith GreenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As I frequent traveller to Southern Africa I would not take a trip without the backing of Cape Tours. This is a completely reliable and trustworthy travel company who have never let me down. They only book quality accommodation, reliable hire cars and reputable airlines. They are completely flexible, allowing you to arrange a trip to your exact requirements. Then, whilst on holiday, local help is only a phone call away. I cannot recommend Cape Tours highly enough.Posted on Google J PTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Returning customers! Mike takes the hassle out of planning a trip. He listens to what you would like, and arranges your trip accordingly(making suggestions that you haven't even thought about). His local knowledge is invaluable, to helping you make wonderful memories. We had wonderful time in Cape Town, and the Western Cape. He arranged international, internal flight, car rental and accommodation at the Waterfront. I have no reservations recommending Cape tours, to plan an unforgettable trip.
