We have recently returned from our first visit to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana, booked through Cape Tours. From our very first enquiry we were impressed. Mike really listened to what we wanted and put together a fabulous itinerary. He unfailingly answered all our questions and gave us lots of helpful advice prior to departure. Our holiday was perfect from start to finish! Fabulous itinerary - at the right pace. The accommodation booked was superb- and we always seemed to be given the best rooms! Flights, car hire, pick-ups and excursions all went like clockwork. We have no hesitation in recommending Cape Tours. As well as the wonderful service they provided, their price was well below that offered by other companies.

This was our second visit to South Africa that Mike at Cape tours has organised and booked for us. We cannot fault him and his team’s efforts and his organisation and knowledge to ensure we have had truly fantastic holidays. From the moment we set off to the time we got back everything ran smoothly. The Safari at Sanbona reserve was fantastic with 5 star accommodation and was the highlight of the trip. All of the locations and accommodation Mike chose were excellent. We also traveled from Cape Town to Pretoria on Rovos Rail. This was a great experience and we would highly recommend it. For anyone wishing to visit this fantastic country on holiday I would not look anywhere else organise it for you. Mikes knowledge of the country and his advice and recommendations were all invaluable to us. We would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and would certainly use him again. Thanks again for a great holiday Mike. Sean and Tracy

I approached Cape Tours when planning a trip to Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa. I explained the kind of holiday I had in mind, and Cape Tours did the rest. Cape Tours prepared a great itinerary, arranging all the flights, transfers and accommodation. My wife and I had a fantastic trip, including excursions at Victoria Falls, game drives in Chobe, and exploring the Cape. I would thoroughly recommend an adventure in Africa. And if you are considering one, be sure to enquire with Cape Tours.

We throughly recommend booking with Mike at Cape Tours. It was our first time to SA and he was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations and knowledge of places to stay in Cape Town, along the Garden Route and safaris. He also provided suggestions of the ‘’must sees’, where to eat, comprehensive driving routes between destinations and useful travel tips. We had the most fabulous holiday and hope to return again

We have used Cape Tours for many years, more recently for safaris. The Cape Tours service is always friendly and very efficient and we are always confident that the holiday experience will be fantastic. Mike Tompkins ensured the places we originally visited in South Africa, many years ago, were far superior to any other major travel agency at the same cost. Our recent safaris have consistently passed all expectations and been the most amazing experiences we have had. Accommodation has been superb and the game viewing out of this world. Accordingly we trust Cape Tours for all our subsequent holidays.

About South Africa

Among the most popular excursions is a visit to the country’s many superb national parks and game reserves, including the world-renowned KRUGER NATIONAL PARK.

Cape Town with its familiar landmark, Table Mountain, remains a favourite and must visit destination. The picturesque wine estates produce some of the world’s best wines, with stunning scenery to match.

Magnificent mountain scenery, including the famed Drakensberg and the awe-inspiring Blyde River Canyon, competes with the semi-arid desert of the Karoo and ancient forests of Tsitsikamma and Knysna for visitors’ attention. The forever-landscape to the east of Cape Town, the Garden Route, is an amazing treasure of all kinds of good things and places, including spectacular mountains, indigenous forests, lakes, lagoons and coastal beaches to rank with the best in the world.
