Hidden at the foot of the majestic Sossusvlei dunes, a private entrance to Namib Naukluft Park makes Kulala Desert Lodge the closest location to Sossusvlei.
Built at the foot of a mountain facing west, Kulala Desert Lodge benefits from spectacular sunset views over the distant dunes of Sossusvlei. The entire lodge is constructed to take in as much of its natural surroundings as possible, with its defining attraction being its private entrance into the Namib-Naukluft National Park – the largest game park in Africa – home to the frozen dunes of Sossusvlei. The camp comprises 23 thatched and canvas “kulalas” (including two family units), each built on a wooden platform, with a flat rooftop for sleep-outs under the stars. The main area includes a pool and wraparound veranda overlooking a waterhole.
