The Heinitzburg Hotel

The Heinitzburg Hotel is set high on a hill with views over Windhoek. It is about a kilometre from the centre but can be seen from many parts of the city – a tiny white fort complete with turrets and battlements.

Heinitzburg Hotel has been superbly converted into a hotel with arched wooden doors leading to 11 rooms complete with four poster beds, snow white quilts and beautiful antique furniture. The honeymoon suite is built in a turret and is a magical place to stay. Outside there is a delightful pool terrace with views over the city. Meals are often eaten here, under the trees with the city lights twinkling below.
