Added to this, there is an amazing density of game, particularly along the riverine strip.

The South Luangwa is one of the few parks in Africa to allow night drives, and the guides’ knowledge of animal behaviour really pays off after dark. Knowing where predators might hunt, which other predators might be around to take advantage, and how to ensure you don’t interfere with the normal behaviour of these animals is crucial to your enjoyment. All safari activities are led by a fully qualified guide, and include morning drives, night drives, and walking safaris. Ideal for couples or friends, we have 7 luxury tents, including a Honeymoon Tent and a Family Tent, all with full-sized beds and en-suite bathrooms. 3 classic tents are slightly smaller but still with full-sized beds and ensuites.

Perfect for couples, friends, and families on safari. Standard family chalets comfortably sleep 4-6 and the even more spacious Chalet 4 can comfortably accommodate 6-8 guests including children.

Chindeni Bush Camp
Location: South Luangwa National Park

Kakuli
Location: South Luangwa National Park

Mfuwe Lodge
Location: South Luangwa National Park
Set around two lagoons, shaded by a canopy of ebony and mahogany trees, Mfuwe Lodge is the perfect place to ease into Luangwa life. Located just inside South Luangwa National Park, less than an hour drive from Mfuwe International Airport, you’ll be amazed at the ‘deep in the bush’ feeling of Mfuwe Lodge.
This region of the park is renowned for its prolific game, and giraffe, hippos, buffalo, antelope, and crocodile are constant visitors to Mfuwe Lodge’s lagoon. Walking safaris can be arranged on request, but most outings are game drives. In November, the local elephants regularly wander right through the lobby, lured by a nearby wild mango tree.
