Location: South Luangwa National Park
A remote and romantic camp situated in a prime location on the Kapamba River, in the southern region of the South Luangwa National Park, and one of only two Bush camps to be open from April to January. Kapamba Bush Camp nestles on the banks of the shallow, spring fed Kapamba River in a peaceful, secluded area. Kapamba is surrounded by some of the park’s richest wildlife with fabulous views over the watercourse.

Combine the isolation and superb game-viewing opportunities of a true bush camp with a touch of style. Get out into the bush and explore the rich diversity of the surrounding area on a morning walking safari or game drive, and then later in the day, jump into a Land Rover for an afternoon/evening game drive. When the weather is right, spend siesta time in the Kapamba River right in front of camp, or take a dip in the pool to cool off.
Surrounded by some of the park’s richest wildlife, the central living and dining area at Kapamba huddles under matumi and sausage trees, opening onto an extended deck with a swimming pool. Cool, contemporary, and utterly original, the open-fronted bedrooms boast wide verandas and twin showers with views of the river. At night, pull closed the wrought-iron shutters and enjoy the sights and sounds of the night without worrying about unwanted visitors… Two of the chalets also have raised sleep-out salas (with small bathrooms) – a wonderful experience to sleep out under the stars, or to relax during afternoon siesta.
