Lalibela Kichaka Lodge

Lalibela Game Reserve is located in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, nearby Port Elizabeth and Addo Elephant National Park, which means it is malaria free and spans 5 ecosystems, resulting in a breath-taking diversity of flora and fauna. Lalibela is proud to be part of a cluster of photographic safari game reserves in the Eastern Cape. Together, they make up the Indalo Protected Environment, which is a legally protected conservation area.

An African safari is not complete without 3 primary components – exceptional game-viewing, bespoke accommodation and delicious, wholesome food. At Lalibela, we take special care to ensure that heartfelt service combines with these three “ingredients” to assure a memorable African safari experience.

Seamlessly blending into the surrounding landscape, Kichaka Lodge is a five-star destination, constructed of natural stone and thatch. The lodge was extensively re-built and furnished in 2020. Kichaka’s decor is a modern uptake of traditional safari and colonial elegance creating an ambience of timlessness and comfort.

The 10 suites are decorated in the same luxurious style as the main lodge. The finest fittings in the bathrooms are an indulgence, featuring enormous baths, spacious showers and his and her basins. Each suite boasts a private deck with a heated plunge pool and an outside shower. The suites have been perfectly positioned to ensure and maximise the sense of being completely enveloped in the bush.
